WHY ST. CATHARINE OF SIENA SCHOOL?

Picture

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

St. Catharine of Siena has been educating our community's future leaders for over 80 years. (Read more about the history of our school here.) Our challenging academic curriculum incorporates a focus on language arts, STEM, and enrichment opportunities. Field trips are chosen carefully to coincide with curriculum lessons. Hands-on learning is not the exception, but rather the rule.
MISSION STATEMENT

STRONG FAITH IDENTITY

Religion is taught in every grade as an academic subject, and all students have an opportunity to learn about the Catholic faith, and deepen their relationship with God. Together as a school, we participate in a weekly liturgy, and Holy Days of Obligation, with the students working together to plan the readings and music for the liturgies under the guidance of their teachers. Read more about the spiritual life of our students here.

OUR ALUMNI SPEAK OUT

We asked some St. Catharine of Siena alum what they remembered best from their St. Catharine of Siena education, and here's what they had to say:

Dr. Tara Lawlor, Dermatologist,
SCS Class of 1988

"My first thought is how close we were as a class with our teachers and parents ... We supported and were supported by each other on a daily basis in school, at after school activities and annual fundraisers ... Just the thought brings back lots of great memories."

Nana Foulland,
Professional Basketball Player,
SCS Class of 2010

"When I think back to my days at SCS, the first thing that comes into mind is fun times with lifelong friends. I think back to growing in my relationship with God and understanding the importance of faith and religion."

Haley Buser,
College Student/Division One Bowler
SCS Class of 2014

"When I think back to my days at SCS, the first thing that comes to mind are the teachers who inspired me to become an elementary education major. I hope to change my students' lives intellectually and spiritually, just like they did for me."
